Engineering outcomes, end to end
I deliver business outcomes at Fortune 500 scale - operating across Platform Engineering, FinOps, Developer Experience, and Open Source strategy. Across enterprise engagements, I've architected multi-cluster Kubernetes platforms with 99.9% uptime SLAs, engineered for regulatory compliance and namespace isolation with GitOps-driven provisioning.
I care about platforms that pay for themselves: infrastructure migrations delivering 40% cloud cost reductions, an AI-powered FinOps engine on AWS Bedrock that delivered $2M+ in documented savings for a single enterprise client, and data pipeline tuning that halved API calls while maintaining five-nines availability.
I've led architecture for enterprise Backstage.io developer platforms serving 10,000+ engineers, unified observability across Fortune 500 acquisitions, and delivered zero-downtime GitHub Enterprise migrations with full adoption of Actions, Copilot, and Codespaces. Open source runs deep: Microsoft has recognized me as a GitHub Star three years running - the 2nd from India.

Quick facts
The story so far
From India's first DevOps specialization to Fortune 500 platforms - a decade of compounding.
India's first DevOps specialization
Enrolled in UPES (batch of 2021) for a B.Tech in Computer Science with a specialization in DevOps - the first academic program of its kind in India, built through a partnership that gave early access to Infrastructure as Code, containerization, GitOps, and the open-source ecosystem years before my first job. That head start shaped everything.
Founding engineer, Day 0
Joined StatusNeo as its founding engineer on Day 0 - during my third year of college. Built the initial web presence, ran social channels, shaped the company's open-source evangelism, hosted webinars, and spoke at conferences. Simultaneously taught 1,000+ students across India on GitHub, contributed 10,000+ changes, and became one of the most active open-source contributors in the country.
GitHub Star #38 worldwide
Recognized as a GitHub Star by Microsoft in February 2021 - 38th in the world, 2nd in India. Graduated with a Gold Medal (9.6 CGPA). Joined StatusNeo full-time, working with India's largest telecom on their AI Exchange platform under the Chief Data Architect - Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, and ML model serving. Also began contributing to Backstage by Spotify, an early-stage DevEx platform that would later reach 4M+ developers worldwide.
DevEx lead, first international delivery
Promoted to team lead for Developer Experience at a Fortune 500 gaming enterprise. First international delivery across UAE and UK. GitHub Stars recognition for the second consecutive year.
Architect at Fortune 500 scale
Led platform modernization for a Fortune 500 semiconductor company - DevEx, DORA metrics improvement, and US EO-14028 SBOM compliance across all business units affecting 10,000+ engineers. First of many US trips. GitHub Star for the third consecutive year.
New York and platform transformation
Promoted to Platform Engineering Architect. Relocated to New York. Joined a Fortune 500 hospitality enterprise where the data team ran entirely manual processes - established platform standards, built automation and security practices, delivered 30% cloud cost reduction, migrated off a legacy orchestrator saving $650K+ in licensing, and drove multiple platform improvements. Spoke at SREDays London and San Francisco.
Staff Engineer, Americas growth
Growth into current role while supporting pre-sales for the Americas region - helping win modernization and GitHub Enterprise engagements across Fortune 500 insurance, consumer health, and cloud software companies. Conference circuit expanded to four cities.
Back to India, bigger scope
Appointed SREDay Community Ambassador. Spoke at conferences in London, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle. Led delivery of an AI-native FinOps platform saving $2M+ in documented cloud spend. Relocated back to New Delhi - bringing Fortune 500 platform engineering experience back home, with global clients and a wider scope ahead.
Things I actually believe
Opinions formed in production, held loosely, argued strongly.
Platforms should pay for themselves
If your platform team can't point at a number, it's a cost center with good branding. Mine points at multi-million dollars across engagements.
Developer Experience is a business multiplier
Onboarding from 4 weeks to 3 days isn't a dev tool win - it's a hiring, retention, and velocity win. DevEx compounds at the org level.
Ship outcomes, not infrastructure
Nobody cares how many nodes you run. They care about uptime, cost reduction, and time-to-market. Measure what the business measures.
Open source is the best classroom
10,000+ contributions taught me more than any degree. A merged PR builds skills, reputation, and community simultaneously.
Boring infrastructure is a compliment
The highest praise a platform can get is silence - nobody files tickets about a system they forgot exists.
Compound interest applies to careers
One contribution a day, one conversation a week, one talk a quarter. That's how a college student in Dehradun ends up on stage at Fortune 500 conferences in four countries.
